The Art and Craft of Writing Historical Fiction Workshop - Session 1

Join Paterson Joseph, author of the acclaimed novel The Secret Diaries of Charles Ignatius Sancho for a two-part workshop on the art and craft of writing historical fiction.

This workshop is for writers of all levels, includes an audience Q&A and is brought to you in partnership with the BorderLight Theater Festival. 

Mr. Joseph will discuss:

  • finding inspiration in historical people and events,
  • how the past can shed light on current social issues,
  • provide practical tools for bringing the past to life on the page,

This hybrid workshop starts with this session streaming online and a second, in-person session on July 27.
