Zygote Press - Monotypes
Get an overview of the world of printmaking and learn about patterns, collage and how to make monotypes! Students will learn how artists use patterns in their compositions, and cut
and paste collages using patterns and prints as their inspiration. Each participant will also get a chance to make their own monoprint on a table-top etching press! In addition to the monoprinting activities, we will bring the Zygote Printmaking Suitcase. This educational tool provides an overview of printmaking processes, complete with tactile examples. We will also give take-away postcard examples of RISO, intaglio, screen printing, and relief printing.
