Cleveland Silent Film Festival & Colloquium Celebrates Main Library's 100th Anniversary: FREE Silent Film Screening

Enjoy a series of FREE silent film screenings accompanied by live music, presented by the Cleveland Silent Film Festival & Colloquium as part of Cleveland Public Library's celebration of the 100th anniversary of our treasured, historic Main Library building. Experience classic silent films as they were meant to be seen: accompanied by LIVE music.

This month features The Merry Widow (1925), a romantic drama/black comedy film directed and written by Erich von Stroheim. Released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the film includes pre-fame uncredited appearances by Hollywood legends Joan Crawford and Clark Gable.. The film will be screened with live cimbalom (hammered dulcimer) accompaniment by Alexander Fedoriouk and live violin. 

The screening is free and open to the public. 

No tickets or registration are required. Seating is offered on a first come, first served basis.
