Young Scholars' Academy Transitional

The Young Scholars' Academy Transitional is a free kindergarten readiness program for scholars ages 4-6 and their parent(s) or other adult members of the family. Parents engage in conversations with a licensed teacher while scholars participate in a circle time and educational learning activities. The lessons are based on the Science of Reading and the Ohio Department of Education Learning Standards. Families are provided with research-based tips, high quality books, materials, and activities to support learning opportunities at home.  

The 2026  in-person sessions are 10 weeks at the following locations: Martin L. King Jr. Branch, Eastman Branch, Wade Park School, and Halle School.  The choices are on the registration form.
