Exhibit: The Jefferson Library and the Building of America
Thomas Jefferson created a collection of architecture books for the Library of Congress in the early 19th century. These books have become a symbol of American democracy reflecting how our country was built physically and metaphorically. Editions similar to those from the Jefferson Library will be on view in Special Collections during this year of the Presidential election of 2020.
