Rachel Brown has been dubbed “The Honky Tonk Queen of Cleveland” due to her gospel type piano stylings reminiscent of Floyd Cramer and the great Jerry Lee Lewis. Her band, The Beatnik Playboys, has been together almost 17 years. Dave Huddleston (guitar/vocals), Bill Watson (bass/vocals), and Roy King are accomplished musicians in many genres, which gives the band its unique sound. Rachel & The Beatnik Playboys have recorded four albums of original songs as well as an album of classic Patsy Cline songs. Their latest release, “Full Moon Rendezvous,” was accepted for a 2025 Grammy nomination.

Rachel has been performing Traditional Country/Gospel/Americana/Blues music since she was 6 years old and hails from a family with deep roots in traditional music. Through the years, Rachel has been the supporting act for many legendary artists including Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, The Judds, Emmylou Harris, Linda Gail Lewis, Wanda Jackson, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Ray Stevens, Phil Lee, Bill Kirchen and Loretta Lynn. She also holds a Master in Music Education with a piano emphasis.
